Dal Tadka with Jeera Rice

Everyday yellow dal finished with a sizzling cumin-garlic tadka.

Ingredients

  • toor dal1 cup
  • garlic4 cloves
  • cumin1 tsp
  • rice1 cup
  • turmeric0.5 tsp

Method

  1. 1Pressure-cook the lentils with turmeric until soft.
  2. 2Prepare a tadka of cumin, garlic and dry chilli in ghee.
  3. 3Pour over the dal and serve with cumin rice.
